The top meal in a NJ Diner is one of those questions that is always up for grabs. It’s just too dependent on individual preferences to actually pin down THE top entree. If you asked me it would be the steak and eggs. Now most people would probably pick this: NJ Diner Style Surf and Turf. Wow my mouth is watering just thinking about it. I can almost smell the crab meat stuffed fillets broiled to perfection sitting next to a flame broiled NY Strip. To compliment the super combo, some perfect onion rings cover the steak. Now of course you can get sauteed onions and mushrooms for the steak… this customer wanted just the rings. I can tell you there would be nothing left even though the fish is a bit savory with the clarified butter used during broiling. This is truly a meal fit for a King and it’s priced for a Friday or Saturday night out at Tiffany Diner. Enjoy !!
NJ Diner Surf and Turf
Chicken Cordon Bleu with Golden Cream Sauce on Linguini
We are going to present a small series on the Tiffany Diner Chicken Cordon Bleu, starting with the final product. This is a plating with the entree cut into medallions and draped with a blanket of Golden Cream Sauce infused with sauteed onions and mushrooms. A green garnish compliments the colors and adds freshness. The coating on the chicken is golden brown from baking in the oven on a thick metal baking plate rather than deep frying. Of course all that juice from the chicken and ham and cheese is trapped by the linguine for a succulent and savory treat. One note the chicken is pounded and sauteed before being wrapped with swiss cheese and thick slices of ham. Enjoy !!
Broiled Salmon with Zucchini and Red Pepper Sauce
Broiled Salmon NJ Diner Style with a light buttery zucchini and red pepper sauce. This is frequently a Friday night special here at Tiffany Diner. Along with the soup or salad and bread basket this is 4 star quality at a NJ Diner price. The salmon flakes away with just a touch of the fork as steam rises out of the fish. The sauce is light and aromatic with the herbs and spices mixing with the clarified butter and juice from the salmon filet for a perfect combination. The salmon is always perfectly fresh here. I like to kick it up a bit with a shower of fresh lemon mixed with herbs. Enjoy !!
Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy
If there ever was a classic New Jersey Diner meal, this is it. For almost 100 years in the New York City area, the meatloaf special has been part of the scene here. I always picture it when I hear the phrase “meat and potatoes man”. The style Harry made for the Tiffany Diner includes beef and pork roasted to the usual near perfection with a crunchy crust on the outside and moist beefy goodness on the inside. The gravy has mushrooms and onions and it’s savory and silky. Yum Yum this is a big meal and a tasty treat that would take a couple hours to put together the right way at home. Enjoy !!

The Best Waffle I ever Had
was here at the Tiffany Diner. Just like Grandma used to make. I think there is a hint of cinnamon in the batter but the key to the perfect waffle here it is the lightness inside and the crispiness outside. The bacon in combination with the waffle is heaven sent. Sometimes when my family is eating breakfast, there might be one order of French Toast and another getting an omelet, and one with a waffle. That’s when we see “Butter Mountain”. There is sometimes a plate of individually wrapped butter packets served along with the syrup. And yes it does look like a mountain of bettter. So dieters beware – there is no way to eat thing treat on any known diet in the world.
Chicken Fingers Platter
Want to see the best chicken fingers platter you can get in a New Jersey Diner? Here is is at the Tiffany Diner in Ramsey NJ. We use chicken filets that are pounded, seasoned, breaded and deep frioend to perfection. The outside crust is crunchy and the chicken is tender and juicy. We compliment the dish with homemade honey mustard sauce and perfect french fries. Kids almost always love the chicken finger platter here.
Roast Beef and Swiss Wrap
Look at that beautiful rare oven roasted beef with juicy tomatoes, shredded iceberg lettuce, and strips of fresh Swiss cheese in an over sized wrap. The curly fries and slaw are a perfect compliment to this incredible roast beef and Swiss wrap.
The Best Blueberry Pancakes Anywhere
My family has enjoyed the blueberry pancakes at Tiffany Diner for many years. They are big and they use real blueberries with just the right amount of everything for a perfect breakfast combo. I like mine with butter and then later I’ll add syrup to make sure I get all the different flavors. I’d stack up these babies to any blueberry pancakes I’ve had anywhere in the country… using real berries if the signature for this dish with not too much oil on the griddle. Click this image a couple times to get the full size – it will make your mouth water. Enjoy.
Roasted Pork Butt with Cracked Peppercorns
The most beautiful roasted pork I’ve ever seen was just emerging from the oven. Being close enough to smell the spices and perfect mixture of 3 types of cracked peppercorns and garlic and a half dozen additional spices was inspiring. And it was making my mouth water. I got to sample a piece of this later and it was succulent, juicy, and full of flavor. I’m ordering this next time I’m at the Tiffany Diner. Harry is one of the best cooks I’ve ever seen… and this is including almost every episode of food channel shows since the beginning.

Roast Beef Panini with Mozzarella and Curly Fries
Perfectly grilled panani served in a “bigger than you can eat” platter at the Tiffany Diner in Ramsey, NJ. No wonder Tiffany Diner is my favorite Bergen County Restaurant. My 11 year old son ordered this and his eyes popped out when he saw the plate. I had as great a time with his order as he had. The roast beef was made on site and moist in the sandwich. The mozzarella was an outstanding compliment. I might ask for Swiss next time for a change of pace. That’s one of the best parts of going to a NJ Diner. You can always have it made exactly the way you want it, more or less as it goes. They curly fries are a treat and they of course work well with the beef.
